You might have some important Word DOC documents and do not want anyone to open them. Here are two ways to encrypt your Word DOC files.

1- MS Word Encryption.

Open the Doc file you want to encrypt, Go to the Tools Menu, select Options, select the Security panel, click on the Advanced button,
Select RC4(Microsoft Strong Cryptographic Provider) and choose your Key Length. Then check the “Encrypt document properties” check box. The last step is click on OK button.

2- FileEncrypt.

If you’re only encrypting Word docs this is fine, but I need to lock down all kinds of other files and folder, as well as flash drives, so I looked at third-party software. I finally found one called SensiGuard that is super easy and works great.
